Our Mission
The Used Vehicles Importers Association (UVIA) is committed to representing and safeguarding the interests of Malta’s used vehicle importers. Our mission is to promote fair competition, ensure high standards across the industry, and provide consumers with greater confidence through the UVIA Approved Vehicles certification. By fostering collaboration among members, we work to create a transparent, trustworthy, and sustainable automotive sector.
Our History
UVIA was established in December 2002 by twenty-eight pioneering importers who recognised the need for a unified voice within the industry. In May 2003, the Association was officially registered as an Employers’ Association under the Industrial Relations Act (Chapter 266 of the Laws of Malta). Since then, UVIA has grown to represent the largest used vehicle importers in Malta, serving as the primary stakeholder in the sector and the sole lobbying body for its members.
